Obituaries

An obituary is used to announce the death of a person and to say a few words about the family members’ kinship with the deceased. Obituaries are also normally used to notify time and place of the funeral. Therefore the obituary should be advertised as soon as a time has been agreed. In the obituary you can also make known any wishes for donations to various organisations as an alternative to flowers.

We can help with the design of the obituary and send it to the paper.

The obituary can be placed in one or more newspapers, perhaps also on the internet.

If the service is private, the obituary will be announced soon after the service has taken place.

If relatives wish to create a memory book on the internet, it may be appropriate to make that known at the end of the obituary so that people other than the close relatives are given an opportunity to share their memories.
