Legal services

Many relatives tell us that they are surprised at all the forms and paperwork that must be organised after a death. Even if the family situation and the deceased’s estate is not complicated, the actual work of filling in correct forms in the right order, enclosing correct certificates, seems impossible to many people. There are also several ways in which an estate can be settled that can have a bearing on inheritance tax, rights and obligations.

Who can give simple and practical help?

Who can you talk to in order to find out if you need help at all, or whether you can deal with most things yourself with the help of simple guidelines? People working as funeral consultants have no legal background and it is not part of their remit to offer advice on inheritance and how to distribute an inheritance. We have therefore formed an external partnership in this field.

KPMG have developed a service that gives practical and legal assistance with inheritance matters, such as distribution and settling of an estate. They offer a variety of services that can help the heirs with all the steps involved in distribution of estate. KPMG works together with the estate heirs in areas where the heirs need help and at a time and location in Norway which suit the heirs. KPMG can also assist with legal services in connection with inheritance and distribution of estate. This can involve planning of inheritance and writing a will, or legal advice in connection with the distribution of a deceased’s estate. Read more here.
